Thankful For Home

Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving, a time to gather with our family and friends to specifically thank God for the many blessings we enjoy each and every day. Our small family has many things to be thankful for . . . a good job, a beautiful home, healthy children, wonderful grandparents, beautiful friends{on the inside too}, the opportunity to homeschool and so much more. We have an aattitude of graditude this week.

May the Lord continually BLESS YOU with Heaven's blessings as well as with human joys. Psalm 128:5

Been Busy This Week
♥ Orange The children and I went to the pumpkin patch last Friday and then by Monday we were all sick. Two of my kiddos were on the mend before our little outing and then full on sick again after school on Monday. By Wednesday we were all a miserable mess. My little one had to be put on a breathing machine to help her get through the day and everyone is on heavy antibiotics to get over the worst of these colds. I'm happy to say that tonight we are feeling better, but most of us still have lingering heavy coughs (me included). Here is the Dragon Pumpkin Eater at the pumpkin farm.

Fall Fun Days

I can't believe I was actually fully prepared for this week's challenge! My week has been crazy . . . returning from a very busy weekend, sick children all week long, misplaced homework assignment, found homework assignments, party planning, school outings and all while trying to keep my house clean, clothes washed and dinner on the table! Don't even ask me if I have had time for a shower, which by the way I have, but my hair is another story!

Here is my take on this week's challenges . . .

It has been raining here on and off for the past day or so and it was so easy to capture some water dripping around my house.

How Was your Weekend?

This past weekend my family and I took a driving trip to Iowa to visit my little brother and his family for their Homecoming celebration in their home town. My kiddos had only been to one high school football game a couple of years ago and didn't really have a clue what to expect. My brother was so excited we were in town to celebrate Homecoming with him. My baby brother actually told me he was so happy I came back because we had not watched football together in over 20 years!

The kiddos were so excited to have their faces painted and my son even let his cousin's pals  spray paint his hair. His cousin's friends were very impressed with the fact that my son is homeschooled. I even over heard "I give you mad props dude". So that made me happy my son didn't have to be embarrassed or explain what homeschooling was all about!

The evening game was great and cold. Very, very cold. We literally froze our bums off!
