I am a chronic insomniac. I literally do not sleep. I try very hard to sleep, but it evades me always. My husband on the other hand falls asleep literally 3.5 seconds after his head hits the pillow. He will even fall asleep and take a nap on the sofa before he goes to bed at night! Drives me bonkers!

This presents a dilemma for us when we are streaming shows on Netflix. I ca stay up allnight ad get though an entire season of a new show, while he can sometimes eck out two episodes for me -- sometimes! Most nights it is one episode, that he will usually take a quick nap through, and then off he goes to bed. I am left with my hands in the air because I want to watch another episode, but I have been given specific instructions, "do not watch the next episode"!

So, sometimes, the shows are soooo god, that I simply can not wait and I just will sit up and stream right through ad entire season. Sometimes, We are at the last episode and my husband will be away on business and I simply CAN NOT WAIT. Or, sometimes, I simply just do not want to wait, and cheat.

Hmmmm, Everybody Cheats - Right?

I'm a Netflix Cheater and I'm proud! Here are a couple of shows that I have recently cheated on husband with. But, all with good reason. Watch the video for some tips on how to be a great cheater if you are not a blatant cheater like I am! I'm so past the point of even trying to hide it any longer! Yo! That's why we have more than one television!

FREQUENCY: A detective seizes a precious opportunity to change the past when she finds she can communicate with her deceased, estranged father via a time warp. I'm STILL waiting for my husband to find the time to watch the last episode! I swear I won't be holding off this weekend if he doesn't find the time.

FRONTIER: In 18th-century North America, ruthless trappers and entrepreneurs fight to gain control of the fur trade from the mighty Hudson's Bay Company. Starring: Jason Momoa and Landon Liboiron. Momoa, will return for season two (yeah!), stars as Declan Harp, an ambitious, confident, charismatic and the ultimate untamed man with a reputation for being a ruthless trader, driven by revenge. Landon Liboiron, who was in Netlix's, Hemlock Grove (which, if you have never streamed - get right on this show!!) also starsin this show. My husband has still not made it past episode one! I'm delighted to say, I watched it in two evenings! Because, remember, I never sleep!

THE RED ROAD: Revolves around a local cop struggling to keep his family together while simultaneously policing two clashing communities: the small town where he grew up and the neighboring mountains, home of a Native American tribe. After a terrible tragedy and coverup occurs involving the cop's wife, an unholy alliance is forged between the cop and Phillip Kopus, a dangerous member of the tribe that will come back to haunt all involved. I discovered this show while I was waiting for the premiere of FRONTIER. I was so bummed this show was not continuing. But, it filled a few of my nights! My husband watched two episodes ad then away on business. There was no way I could wait!

TRAVELERS: A federal agent tracks four people who suddenly seem to possess entirely new personalities, leading to a startling discovery about humanity's future. This Netflix show was great and I did cheat a bit and watched a couple of the last episodes before hubbie. But, I rewatched them with him when he stayed up late one evening.

JIM GAFFIGAN: CINCO: America's king of clean comedy delivers wickedly funny jokes in his fifth hour-long special. All I can say, is while Jim Gaffigan is not your typical bad boy of Netflix, he IS hilarious! I think I woke my husband up whist streaming this special because I could. NOT. stop. laughing! Gaffigan is family-friendly, so you could enjoy this with your tweens or teens as well!

Couples are streaming shows on their own time these days. Netflix offers me the opportunity to watch as much as I can. Believe me, when you are an insomniac like me, Netflix is a life saver! I can watch entire episode in one sitting and not have any interruptions because my entire household is fast asleep. I can also dive right into and entire series and stream uninterrupted for 6 hours straight if I want to.

And as Jim Gaffigan states in his special: “Alright, one more season". So fess up, let the truth set you free and share how Netflix cheating happens under your roof.
