Schleich Horse Club

Ever since my youngest daughter was a toddler, she has been in awe of horses. We live near a couple of horse farms and each day we would take a walk and feed the horses some apples and flowers. If I didn't take her to the visit horses, she would cry.
When she turned four years old, the only thing she requested was a real horse. I did the next best thing and signed her up for horse riding lessons. At four years old (and a few days), she got up on her first pony and was in heaven. She took to riding perfectly, even though she had to be led around by the reins and her instructor, she loved riding and the pony.
By the end of the summer, she was riding on her own without the instructor leading with the reins. By the time she was five years old(and almost two full years of riding lessons), she was able to walk, trot and canter her pony as well as complete some small jumps.
Horseback riding lessons for my daughter benefited her in many ways. Riding built her confidence, because she was very, very shy and quiet, built her strength, her coordination and helped her focus and pay attention.
Not only does my daughter love to ride horses, she loves everything about horses. Her room has pony everything; sheets, pillow cases, decorations, knick-knacks, and her toys are all horses, ponies and all their equipment.
Through all the years, she has never lost her love of horses. She still trots around the house pretending to be riding a horse all day long. And she almost always has a toy pony or horse in her pocket or bag. The horses she most enjoys playing with are her Schleich horses and ponies.
As a Schleich Ambassador, I was thrilled to receive a box of Horse Club products for my daughter. The box arrived and I told her she could open it, but I was not going to tell her what was inside. Here is her reaction (naturally, her older sister had to participate as her love of all things horse is equal).
The Riding Arena includes the arena, paddock gates, two jumping poles, one horse and one rider, one horse blanket, one lead rein, one saddle, one rein, one bale of hay and one carrot. The Arab Mare includes the beautiful Arab Mare, a pink fly blanket, apples and beetroot. The Arabian Foal is just as beautiful as her mom, the mare.
The mane on the Arab Mare was braided with pink rubber bands. My daughter took another horse she has and braided the hair to look just like the Arab Mare. My daughter told me the Arabian horses are the most coveted horse to have and she was going to own her very own someday. And I believe her. But for now, she will have to play with her Schleich Arab Mare and Arabian Foal.
I grew up in rural Iowa and rode horses in the western style, racing barrels at local events and riding in the hay and wheat fields. We live in an urban area and my daughter is only able to ride horses at stables; but her love of horses is as strong as mine was.
Since she can't walk into the barn and hop up on her own pony, Schleich's Horse Club products help me develop my daughter's riding aspirations. She can teach her Schleich horses and riders the correct diagonals, how to post the trot, and all the correct arena etiquette. Schleich's Horse Club collection helps stimulate my daughter's mind and encourages my daughter in her imaginative play with all her horses, ponies, and the arena.
Children can gain so much from horses. They learn patience, compassion for another being, responsibility, sportsmanship and a lot more. I think my daughter will have a life long passion for horses and Schleich understands this with their amazing Horse Club products.
