Holiday traditions were created by the people before us. Our parents and their parents and so on. Holidays are when families gather together and celebrate. Holidays are happy times. For me, they are some of my best memories.
As a child, we had a couple of holiday traditions that I really didn't realize were traditions until I was grown and out on my own in this vast world. I miss those traditions with my grandmother immensely. Simple little things she did that still make my heart ache a bit for her.
In a couple of weeks I will be gathering with my extended family to celebrate Thanksgiving.
