In this United States Elections Unit Study Lesson Plan, students are introduced to the presidential elections in the United States of America. They will learn what constitutional democracy is and how the government develops its power from the consent of its citizens. Students will understand the principles of the U.S. Constitution, the foundations of the government in the United States, and the importance of civic participation. Voting and elections are an essential part of USA democracy.

Keep up with the 2024 election in this United States Elections Unit Study Lesson Plan by studying the history and process of past presidential elections. In addition, this unity study lesson plan explores voting rights and engages students with activities, and daily lesson plans. This lesson plan is divided into six weeks of lessons, with one lesson per day, Monday through Friday. This is a FULL intensive Unit Study with 324 pages of curriculum.

AGE GROUP: This lesson plan is for all grade levels. Depending on the grades and needs of your students, you can choose to use all or just a few of the daily assignments. Use these lessons as a tool, as a supplement to your History or Social Studies curriculum, and/or customize them to fit your needs.
